From Estelle Anna Lewis' 1868 classic, Sappho of Lesbos: A Tragedy, this fast-paced retelling springs new life, and laughter, into Sappho herself. A tragicomedy in five acts, a chorale of characters whip through the epic highs and lows of being cursed with genius. Emerging practitioner, Isla Frame, has adapted and directed Sappho: Lesbians & Lyres for the modern, queer audience. With their fast-paced wit, this talented cast (made up of Narise Hansen, Gabbi Jones, and Sinéad Deighton-O'Flynn) will show you what Ancient Greece was really all about: duels, music, and of course, lesbians.
